Food Canning Establishment (FCE) and Process Filings

  • FCE and SID are required for commercial processors who manufacture, process, or pack acidified foods (AF) and/or thermally processed low-acid foods packaged in hermetically sealed containers.

  • Process filings include: Low-Acid Retorted Method, Acidified Method, Water Activity /Formulation Control Method, and Low-Acid Aseptic Systems.
